Email Links
Little Heath School aims to provide pupils with opportunties to develop skills in literacy, numeracy and information technology and to learn more about the world that they live in. To this end, we have developed email projects and links with schools around the world. The projects and links are encouraging our pupils to write letters (some thing they are not always keen to do) and develop other materials in collaboration with their partners in faraway places - North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle and Far East. Readers interested in developing email links with the school are invited to contact David Ware, ICT Co-ordinator. Spike the Teddy Bear is playing an especially important role in helping younger pupils with their learning. Special Relationships Through NetLinks and Spike, we have developed a special relationship with Barbara Garrison and her school, Mar Vista Middle School, in in San Diego, California. Barbara visited Little Heath in December 1998 and our relationship has gone from strength to strength. Click here for our press release about the visit. We also have a special relationship with Johannes Bohm Hauptschule in Heidenreichstein, Austria. We were fortunate to be visited by 30 students and 4 teachers from the school on 26 May 2000. They performed Austrian folkdances and songs and we learned a great deal about their region.
